What We Stand For...
Education: For our children to have a future filled with unlimited possibilities and hope, they must be well-educated. As parents, we must work together to ensure that our children receive the best possible education in the best possible environment, while at the same time ensuring that our schools are operated in a fiscally responsible and sound manner.
Health Care: Americans have reached for impossible dreams, and made them possible. When Americans have united in a cause, we have triumphed every time. We must unite now and apply that same commitment, ingenuity and boundless energy that have made us one of the most successful and innovative countries in the world to finding a way to ensure that all families have access to decent and affordable health care. Although socialized medicine is not the answer, clearly the current system must be changed. We believe that all Americans should have access to decent and affordable health care.
Immigration: America has always had an open door and welcomed immigrants from all over the world, and that should continue as much as possible. But in light of the on-going terror attacks such as the attack on September 11th and the attack on the school in Beslan, Russia, immigration and border policies must be re-evaluated and fully enforced.
Jobs: Families need jobs-good jobs. While we recognize that the today's marketplace is a global one, we need to ensure that our trade policies are truly in our country's best interests and fair to all concerned.
Marriage: Issues such as Marriage are important to the welfare of all families. Marriage, which has been a sacred tradition for over 2,000 years, should remain as it has always been-a sacred commitment between a man and a woman. Faith, family and freedom are the foundation upon which our country has been built, and they are the reasons for it’s enduring success. As parents, if we want that foundation to remain strong, we must work together to preserve and protect the traditions and values that built this great country.
Public Records: Ohio is a wonderful place to raise a family, but we are facing some tough challenges ahead. It will be crucial to Ohio’s future that we, as a state, make wise choices. And to make wise choices, we will need good, solid information. Ohio’s Sunshine Laws play a crucial role in protecting the rights of Ohio’s families to have access to their government and its records. And as a state, we must continue to ensure that these laws are understood by the citizens they serve and are appropriately enforced. Supporting Our Troops & The Members of Our Safety Forces: One of the reasons our country has continued to succeed and has remained the "home of the brave and land of the free", is that we always been blessed with people who care far more for the welfare of others than they do for their own. Because of the courageous and selfless sacrifice made by these brave men and women, our children remain safe and free and we are deeply grateful to each of them for their efforts.As a country, we have always been blessed with people who care far more for the welfare
We Value Life: We value life and we value each other. As Americans, we must especially work to defend and protect those who are least able to do so for themselves, especially the life of unborn children and the elderly. We believe all life is precious, and should be valued.
